Nope. This game is a closed set up so what roles there are is unknown.

In regards to role claiming, you can claim any role you like, but you are not allowed to show your PM as proof.
Just like the other games, it's up to your ability to convince the others that what you say is true.

I'm still waiting on one person to pick up their role PM, so thinking night will be tomorrow afternoon unless they get to it sooner.

Boy oh boy I hope there is something to this game like a doctor so's I survive first night. Or maybe it'll be even more like Jazzy's game than I thought....With some form of power differential/conflict when it comes to redirection.

Ok. I wasn't going to name and shame, but still waiting on Hiroshi to pick up his PM. Skrillaka, can you give him a bump IRL?
Oh well I said night would be now and there hasn't been much convo so...

It is now Night 1!

Please get your night actions to me by Tuesday 3pm (via PM).
I know that's a long deadline, so if I get all the actions before then I'll start the day sooner.

Okay first things first, if we're going to discuss things, we need a numbering system! I propose:



Also, orange is obviously redirections, Red is 'Other actions' (potentially including (but not limited to) mafia kills, investigations, saves, roleblocks, etc.)

I don't.... I don't get how that ties with my role as lightning rod. I mean, sure, [6]  had a lot of stuff happen, but there was stuff that didn't even involve them so that can't have been me?.... at least not if my lightning rod-ness is working normally. ok so:

theory 1) role blocker! if I got role blocked that would account for it somewhat? depends on order of precedence I suppose.
theory 2) two lightning rods Very Happy. As long we're both alive we cancel each other out?
theory 3) something I don't know

As for the rest of it, there is definitely the whole conflict power differential thing that jazzy had when it comes to multiple/different forms of redirection. Hence why [7], [8], and [9] are all wounded

Which brings me onto the next step: what we know

Premises and conclusions:
(I'm skipping a few sub conclusions and obvious premises btw. and for those of you who have done formal argument and/or PHIL105 I know my structure/wording is horrible.)

P1: Two 'other actions' happened in the night:
  a - originated from [9] targeted at [1]
  b - originated from [2] targeted at [6]

P2: 1 action was not split and hit one person [1]

P3: 1 action was split and hit three people [7], [8] and [9]

P4: 1 person died and 3 people were wounded

C1: from P1,P2,P3 and P4 it is strongly suggested that there were two killing night actions used in the night, and that one of them was split such that it only wounded.

C2: from P1,P2,P3,P4 and C1 it is implied that [1] is Shu and [7],[8] and [9] are Skrillaka, Hiroshi and oless, although not necessarily in that order.

C3: From P1 and C1 it is implied that [2] and [9] have killing powers of some sort.(e.g. mafia, mafia2(inc. serial killer), Vigilante, Jack of all trades, etc.)

P5: [2],[7],[8] and [9] were the only ones targeted with a redirection

C4: from C2 and P5 it is implied that [2] is the only person who was targeted with a redirection who is not Skrillaka, Hiroshi or oless. i.e.

P6: redirectors know who they targeted

C5: from C4 and P6 it is implied that the person who used a redirection and did not target one of Skrillaka, Hiroshi or oless, knows who [2] is

C6: from C3 and C5 it is implied that the person who knows who [2] is, knows who one of the people with a killing role is

C7: from C2 and C3 it is implied that [9], i.e. one of Skrillaka, Hiroshi or oless has a killing action.

Holy moly bajeezus O.O This is gonna get confusing very fast! But thanks for numbering off, Jonno! That definitely helps!

But yeah, I don't think that the red arrows encompass all other actions. It seems to me that it's just kills. There are 4 final targets of the red arrows, and there are 4 people that are dead/wounded. So methinks that either means there are 2 factions of Mafia afoot, or we got a serial killer/vig/etc to throw a spanner in the works, as you said.

By the looks of things, there might not actually be a cop. Since the night story is very visual, we could probably deduce from the various targets of the redirectors to figure out who is who..! Unless the other stuff is being withheld by mod...but I don't think he would do that..

The one that we're used to is on newgrounds now:http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/610087 It's a bit simpler to follow, though a couple of roles that I remember being there aren't O.o maybe my memory is just bad, haha.

It seems people believed you, fweaks, when you said you were a lightning rod, so you got plenty of people wanting to redirect away from you.

Furthermore, I can guarantee that someone redirected from mattgoku to me - I was a redirector, and I redirected from fweaks [6] to mattgoku [2], the only person who was redirected towards who didn't get hurt, as fweaks pointed out. If the person who did the same thing away from mattgoku can confirm it, then I'm [8], mattgoku has a killing action, and either Hiroshi or oless used to have one as well.

Ohhh, that handy. But the reason it's not what you remember is because it actually isn't Wink
The original one had all the other roles on a separate link, and that's the link that's busted.
This updated one has handily merged them both into the same flash. But in the process has lost some stuff.

Oh my goodness firstly: this is so exciting for me to experience you wouldn't believe, it feels like fanart in a sense, seeing this new iteration of my own gametype XD Thank you!! For lack of a better word!!
Secondly I.... now know how it felt to be in my game. Sad

I don't know if anyone's still particularly confused, but the gist of my version, if it helps: a single mafia team consists of two people who each have a kill. They send this out and it is possibly intercepted by redirectors, who reduce its effect with each redirection.
There were other details but for now we'd best assume they aren't in operation (seconding chanisha; I included a cop but their (extremely useless) role is basically covered by night phase's fig.1).

Also: nooooo shu Sad Sad useless information but I remember one of my aims with my gametype was to prevent Night-One Death Boredom, so this is highly unfortunate

Until someone else contradicts Skrillaka I see no reason not to believe him.. although it's worth considering the person who could've contradicted him may be dead silent THAT would be a far too risky ploy so early though, unless mafia somehow receives information about their targets (which I doubt; too imba).
I'll hold off voting because I am an indecisive bum but let it be known for now I'm basically convinced.

Now for the second half of my thoughts, which I've decided to split off for thematic purposes: jonno, I don't believe your roleclaim at all :P It doesn't fit into the concept (MINIMALISM IS BEAUTY. SCREECHES IN CENTER OF FINE ARTS GALLERY) and isn't the lightning rod's job to prevent literally everything that happened this night?
[For newbs, from mafiascum wiki: "The Lightning Rod passively redirects every Night Action to itself"]
Are there details about your role that deviate from this description; or have you not been given specifics; or do you choose to withhold this information?
(Keeping in mind I'm not attacking that last option, it's not rhetorical XD I know mafia lurking-picking-up-information = bad)

ON THE OTHER HAND. I want to believe you were fakeclaiming for mafia purposes (mostly because it makes me feel useful) but unless false information's been fed somewhere (which I'm having difficulty picking up, in a post that literally takes up my whole screen), one mafia is mattgoku and the other is injured. Also lightning rod is a really bad false claim when it can literally be disproven the first night lmao.
So I was "" at you but I think I have to let go of that hahaha
Of course there could be more mafia who haven't used kill tonight :< Who even know

FINALLY. Because I forgot to put this in my prev post. Two-three redirectors can no longer use their action. Mafia practically know who the remaining redirectors are. Meaning tomorrow night (and possibly the next) is likely the last chance we have for slow-drip wound action!
Also, if this game is anything like mines, wounded players are gonna die from blood loss and/or dysentery. Michael may not have said anything on the matter but we should prepare for a massive death plague any night now ><

I think mattgoku's kill attempt only wounded people because it was split by multiple redirects, not because it was redirected at all.

Also possible!! The way I did it, a split pathway only meant mo' problems BUT they were already at '-1' power by means of being redirects in the first place. I guess we have very little example to conclude one way or the other hahaha.

I also didn't redirect from fweaks. I redirected from Slushee to Hiro.
So based on current info, if we are assuming fweaks is [6] and on top of what Skrill said, then I can make the assumption that Slushee is [3] and Hiroshi is [7] because that was my redirection (which did nothing >_>).

This leaves us with oless being [9] - the other mafia?

But Lightning rod? With [9] able to shoot [1]... that doesn't fit.
